A Longevico practitioner guiding a resistance-band rehabilitation exercise

You do not need to be injured to start.

You may already train consistently and feel well. You may simply want to understand where you could improve and whether your training is giving the right things enough attention.

We support recreational and competitive athletes, as well as people who take their training seriously without competing.

Improve your performance

Make your training more deliberate. Understand your current strength, fitness and movement, and identify the physical qualities worth developing for your sport.

Return to your sport

Rebuild your capacity after injury or time away. Work towards the strength, conditioning and confidence needed for a graded return, alongside your treating team where appropriate.

Keep doing what you enjoy

Keep running, playing or competing as your body, priorities and training demands change. Get support to adjust your training and maintain the physical capacity your sport requires.

Sporting experience. Clinical judgement.

Longevico’s clinical approach draws on experience in high-performance sport and injury rehabilitation.

That experience informs how we approach your training. We consider the demands of your sport alongside your current capacity, injury history, health and recovery.

A runner building distance and a golfer working on their physical preparation will not necessarily need the same assessment. The useful questions—and the measures we choose—depend on what each person is working towards.

We also explain the reasoning behind our recommendations. You should understand why something needs attention, what you are working towards and how we will judge whether the approach is helping.

What happens at your first appointment?

Your starting point is a Clinical Exercise Assessment, tailored to your sport and goals.

  1. Understand your training and goals

We discuss your sport, current training, relevant health and injury history, and what you want to improve. We also consider what is realistic within your week.

  2. Assess what matters

Testing may consider strength, movement, aerobic fitness and your response to exercise. We select the measures that help answer your question, rather than take everyone through the same tests.

  3. Explain the findings and next steps

We explain your results, agree on the main priorities and recommend what should happen next. Where further assessment or another practitioner would be more appropriate, we will tell you.

Put the findings to work.

After the assessment, we discuss the level of support that suits your goals.

You may need guidance to take back to your existing training. You may benefit from follow-up appointments to work on specific priorities. Or you may need more regular support with rehabilitation, programming and progression.

For people who need ongoing oversight, Private Health Management provides regular Exercise Physiology appointments, exercise programming, updates and planned reassessment. We can also communicate with your treating practitioners where relevant and with your consent.

Ongoing support is a separate service. We explain the recommendation, fees and any commitment before you decide.

Progress should mean something in your sport.

The aim is not simply a better test result. It is to build strength and fitness that you can use when you run, play or compete.

With ongoing support, we agree on what progress should look like for you. That might mean tolerating a longer run, rebuilding strength after injury or managing a more consistent training week.

We review the relevant measures alongside your experience in training—not the numbers alone.

You should also develop a better understanding of when to progress, when to adjust and when to seek further guidance.
